the dev team is coming closer to another milestone. The Alpha Tech Release (ATR) is a showcase of what they have accomplished so far. Keep in mind that what you might see might be subject to changes as developement continues and also that it is still far away from being finished in any aspect.

General Gaming Call of Duty 2 Community on Strike
Posted by: Celios on Monday, November 28, 2005 - 11:41 PM
It's somewhat amusing to hear that there's another gaming community out there that's getting the VUG-style boot. It seems that COD2, just like the original COD, is suffering from a severe lack of any anti-cheat software, patches and general developer support. Sound familiar?

In any case, the COD2 community apparently plans to run a 24 hour strike during which all the servers will be taken down. What this will actually accomplish is moot, but at least they're calling attention to what's apparently a growing problem in the industry. Read the whole article here.

General Gaming Texas Sues Sony
Posted by: Celios on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 - 01:15 AM
Some of you have probably heard recently that Sony anti-piracy software on their music CDs has started to be used in the creation of undetectable hacks and cheats for games like World of Warcraft. Well, the state of Texas has apparently launched a lawsuit against Sony under its new anti-spyware law. Hopefully this is the beginning of a crackdown on companies slipping anything and everything they want onto your computer when you install their product.
