i can't believe how far this community has died. I mean you have a poll up on Tribes Next and only 5 people voted.
Normally games come and go, but the people stay. We had a tight group of people here, and they all just seemed to disappear. I'm curious where everyone went to. I know many may have outgrown computer games and others found new games, but to stop talking with people you talked everyday for like 3 to 4 hours a day is just odd.
Maybe i give too much credit for people wantting to stick around and just chat about stuff and/or new games.
Oh well, just felt like ranting. |

:[ I think the problem isn't so much that no one has stuck together, it's that the groups are so fractured. There's one group you can find in guild wars, another you can play l4d/css/tf2 with, and yet another that's playing WoW. Who knows, there may even be more out there that are staying quiet. I dunno, but it seems like it'd take a new Tribes to bring all of us all back together.
That being said, it'd be nice if more people idled on irc or Steam. Those of us who do end up playing a fair bit together and that's always a refreshing reminder of old times. :> |

| Some of us are just to busy waging a war with our livers to remember to surf the net. Seriously though, I am always up for a game of l4d or tf2. However don't bother contacting me on steam. I am usually not on that PC and I tend to leave a video game running on it 24/7 |

| Yeah, I have a computer dedicated solely to gaming. In fact it's even running windows b/c I have become so lazy with computers that I have not bothered to install Linux on it...yeah...it's a dark day. |

so what do you think would help make the pond community better, or more lively? besides moar moarter turrets. and shocklances.
i'd be happy to redesign the web site and add more useful features if it was something people were interested in. i kind of cringe every time i log on to the pond site, but only because its so ugly and dated. i'll make an effort to get more discussions going again here on the site, but having other avenues of communication (such as IRC) are good (sometimes better), too. i'm a bit busy this month, but will tackle a site redesign next month.
i am not gaming all the time, but i do maintain some sort of semi-constant Internet presence. i am available via email, IM, Facebook, and long romantic walks on the beach. if you think it would help to tie in OpenID, Facebook Connect, OAuth, gravatars, or twitter/identi.ca/friendfeed/blog feeds to the pond site, let me know. i'll probably experiment with one or more of those among other things and would welcome your input. |

Hey Guys, anyone remeber me? It's wow! Voup back from the golden days. How has the pond been these days? Since tribes 2 has died, I just moved on to other games, played CS:S/1.6 for awhile (played with some cal-m guys), now into L4D. Playing it competitively in www.caleague.com (hopefully the season starts again.. went down for a bit). I actually met fluffybunny in GAME in l4d !!! LOL. Us pond'ers are everywhere .
Anyway, are you guys still playing this game?!?! I mean I love tribes 2 but I thought it died a long time ago, last thing I remeber is all you bunch ran off to wow or guildwars :S. I just heard about tribes next today actually, are we back at it again? I'd love to see this game back at it's prime/ played competitvely it was such a beautiful game. Hopefully I'll be back to mortering some generators
Feel free to add me on steam, thevoup@gmail.com / TheDrIsIn.
ciao,
-Voup. |

Whats up everyone?
I know what you mean, Mikl. Like many I dropped off the face of the earth for awhile.
I play wow here and there, but really only play to arena and even then I find it pretty boring overall.
Left for dead for the pc (steam name Serpico1980).
Street Fighter 4 on PS3 (PSN name-Neversaydie13).
I'm really busy as of late. I'm working really hard in competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, as well as teaching. Soon I'll be studying for certification as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach, and then theres acting. I just don't have the time to game like I did before., sometimes my day starts at 4:30am.
But, I am around and would love to catch up and play sometime. Tribes 2 is still the best game I've ever played. |

sorry to necro this thread. i only remember pop in once in a great while over here.
i haven't played tf2 in many years. and i avoid wow-type games on purpose in case they become too addictive. i play tf2 and l4d when i get the chance between work and family.
i help admin some tf2 servers at no-heroes.com. that community is a bit more "rough" than this one, unfort, but they have some smart ppl running it and it has a lot of benefits. it's a $4 per month subscription model, and they have forums, vent and a bunch of higher-end gaming servers (8 TF2 servers, 6 private L4D servers, 1 Insurgency, 1 CSS:Source and and 1 DoD:Source server).
my steam handle is sighmon. |

| Yeah I check here occasionaly. I think the main porblem is after tribes what your RL friends wanted to do didnt nessicarily coincide with what our e-pals wanted to do. lol Besides that basicaly the handle I use for everything now is Shinso. My Steam account is Shinsorei and xbl tag is Ahmida. |
